Quick update

I took this out of an email to a group I belong in that way killing 2 birds w/ 1 stone.

Well 1st I have been mia for a few weeks as I have been fighting w/ AT&T U-Verse. I paid my bill and they credited it my old - closed phone account. I then was disconnected... Yes you read right. So they found my $ credited my account but because they disconnected me they could not reconnect my old # or my email. And I have to wait until Monday for them to come out as they are booked solid. I was so MAD! Yes they have credited my account and have made me promises etc.... Well so I am using the neighbor's wireless connection and my cell phone. This started when I called to cancel my cable part. Grr!!!

OK Here is my update

Logan - In a gym and swim class at the Y. He is doing great! He is in 4T clothes and been sleeping in his bed and staying there almost every night.. Yippee!!!!

Faith - Doing dance and Scouts. She starts soccer soon. She has been on ADHD meds for 3 months and it is amazing how she is doing in school. I have noticed that she is more whiney and weepy on these meds. Our Dr said that may have always been there but w/ adhd she may have not been able to show that side of her. But she is doing well.

Alli - She will be 13 in less than 2 months. She swears she is moving in permanently in June. I guess I have heard this before and her mom will buy her attention, love etc and she will stay there. I know she is just looking for the love of her mom and that her mom uses this to keep her there so she doesn't lose the child support and maid services. I also know that Alli sometimes tells us lies and so we can't take everything she says as fact. Just a very hard situation.

Stephanie - Is doing great. She has 3.97 gpa at college and working. Her b/f and her are leaving tomorrow for Florida. We are still doing our weekly lunch dates and talk almost every day on the phone. Her b/f is such a nice guy and they really seem to really made for eachother. Where one is weak the other is strong. There is a possibility that she may get laid off but her b/f and her have put a lot of $ in an account and are prepared for it. Also if this happens she will have unemployment and can focus more on school.

Jimmy - He has heard it looks like they will close about 6/15... At least that is what is being said. He will get a 6 week severance package and an additional $1000 if he stays until the end. He then can get hired by the company that American Express outsources to. So we are waiting to see as a lot of his coworkers are going to Arizona or looking elsewhere. There isn't much out there so we are in hopes that he can get a supervisory type position. So keep him and the job dilemmas in your prayers.

Me - Well I have started working out. We traded our PS3 for a Wii and we bought Wii Fit. Plus I have tons of DVD's etc. So I am shooting for at lest 4 times a week. Work is going great. I got a raise and I also got 20% stock dividends and 15% profit sharing. We had a very good and strong 2008 and my company was in the Fortune 500 top 10 in several areas. We are employee owned and I have good job security. I have not been doing much with PartyLite but am going to start as with hubby's employment issues I want to make sure we are secure.

So I think that is about everything and things are good.

I hope everyone is doing great.

Take care

Kallie

Exercise and health

Well I have made the correct decision to get off my fat rear and start moving! It has been a rough year. We have all taken turns being sick and I am ALWAYS tired. So increased my caffeine and then I don't sleep. What a vicious circle. So I had a stomach bug and made a decrease in caffeine. I have decreased my caffeine over 75%. I then had a rough several days as Faith was really sick. She started w/ a fever Saturday and it kept getting worse. Monday at the clinic after Tylenol was still 103.5 and after many tests to make sure it wasn't something else - Faith has bronchitis. She was having breathing treatments and antibiotic. She finally went back to school today.

While I was off with her I decided to use my Wii and the "My Fitness Coach" and get started. Did get on the scale and wow 15 lbs added since Summer. So I was a little worked up as I am almost as heavy as I was when pg w/ Logan and Steph. So after doing my measurements and doing a fitness test I really realized I am obese and out of shape! Time to make some changes!!!! So today was day # 3. 30 min work out every day. I am a little sore but I will get beyond that.

I totally feel as of late like I am drowning. I have missed a lot of work with everyone being ill.... So then I get behind and bogged. That creates stress and then I bring that home... etc.... Another vicious circle. So today I cleaned my desk at work and organized the mess. YES I do have a LOT of work to do but at least now I feel like I can do it.

Today - Weather sucks! It looks like December or January over 5 inches it looks like yuck! Spring can't get here soon enough. But we are all home safe and warm. And we all have our jobs and health. So not a complete waste. And with the snow it will make spring beautiful as it will melt.

Tomorrow Faith has a Girl Scout Rally. I am helping out with it. So I really must get to bed as tomorrow we may go to a hockey game too. I am thinking Saturday would be better but hubby really wants to go tomorrow. Saturday I have another scouting event at a museum on an aging exhibit. The girls have to do some sort of scavenger hunt.

So I may try and post some pics. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Carrie I hope that you are staying dry, warm and off the roads tonight.
